The post by Nancy regarding the memoirs of SSG Primrose was awesome. My grandfather (Albert James Nevins) was a 1LT assigned to the 757th Railway Shop BN from the approximate time that it was commissioned. He was later promoted to Captain and became a company commander in one of the battalion's companies. As a young child, my grandfather shared some stories with me about the unit as well and their time spent both in France and in Kassel Germany.
Please also leave an email address so I can respond to your comment or contact me directly: Nancy at militaryrailwayservice@gmail.com I want to make sure I see your comment and I will want to hear more about your Army rail connection! Thanks
