I am hopeful someone can help me out. My Dad, Robert L Clark served with the Headquarters Company, 729th Railway Operating Battalion of the US Army. He entered the service Jun 1942 and was discharged Nov 1945. I am simply trying to find information on what he did while in Europe. Like so many of his time, he did not speak of his service to this country. I was born while he was gone. What was this unit? What did they do? Hope somebody out there can help me
Please also leave an email address so I can respond to your comment or contact me directly: Nancy at militaryrailwayservice@gmail.com I want to make sure I see your comment and I will want to hear more about your Army rail connection! Thanks
